Most people that work in automotive manufacturing have degrees in mechanical engineering or industrial design.  I would consider one of those degrees and pick the one that matches how technical you want to experience in your job. Both also flexibility outside of automotive should you want a change in the future.  Both are common majors do I would simply search schools in the geography you are looking at and compare tuition costs.  I’m sure all schools offer English classes for you.
